Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is this site for?

In this website you will find high quality dvd-rips of English movies. All movies hosted in this site are dvd-rips and will be hosted on 6 servers (Megaupload, Netload, Easy-Share, Hotfile, Milledrive, EnterUpload ). Most of them will be 700 MB in size and have a separate English subtitle file (watching the movie with subtitles is optional).

How do I download?

The movies are split into 7 files (in most cases) and hosted on 6 servers. It is NOT NECESSARY to download all 7 files from the same server. For FREE USERS (those who don't want to pay anything to download), can download different files from different servers. For example, you can download 1st link of a movie's 7 links from Megaupload, 2nd link from Easy-Share, 3rd link from Netload and repeat this for other files. In other words, you need not wait much even if you are a free user.

I have downloaded the 7 files from 7 links. What next?

You will need WinRAR to extract the file. The movie is one single file which is split into 7 files using WinRAR archiver. To extract the movie from these files, you will need WinRAR for Windows or similar software for Mac and other Operating Systems. Double click on the 1st part file or open it with WinRAR and use "extract" option to fully extract the movie. Note: At this point, you should have properly downloaded all 7 links (each would be around 100 MB in size except for the 7th part) and should have them all in same folder. If WinRAR gives any error message saying any of the file is corrupt, try downloading that file again from a different server.

I got two files. What are they?

The bigger file (700 MB file with .avi filename) is your video file. The other file (smaller file ~ 100KB with .srt filename) is your subtitle file. If you don’t want the subtitle to be displyed, you can delete the file and retain the 700 MB file. You can also turn off the subtitles even if you don’t delete the file.

How do I play the video file?

While almost all video players would play the movie (provided you have installed the latest codecs- especially DivX and XviD. To get these codecs search for video codecs in Google.), it is recommended to use the free software VideoLAN VLC media player. This should resolve any issues with audio/video.

How do I make the subtitles appear?/disappear?

Make sure you have both the .avi file and the .srt file in the same directory with same file names except for their extension. Example: movie.avi & movie.srt, Open the video file in VLC media player. From the video options on top, select Subtitle and you should see Track 1. If it is not selected already, select it to enable the subtitles.

How do I watch this movie in my TV/VCD/DVD player?

The movies are in avi format and cannot be burnt directly on cd or dvd and played on TV (although a few DVD players support DivX codec in which case it should work). For converting the movies into VCD or DVD formats, you will need converters which can be downloaded from the internet.

Why are no new movies posted in your site?

The movies posted in this site are dvd-rips. Which means, the original dvds of the movies were compressed or the format was changed to get the ones posted here. Since the DVDs of the movies are released a few months after the release of the movie, latest movies will not be available. But keep checking often so that you can find your favorite movie uploaded as soon as its DVD becomes available.

I would like to see a specific popular movie but you don't have it. How do I get it?

You can send an e-mail to the e-mail ID provided in the CONTACT page. A few rare movies which have very low ratings in IMDB will be ignored because they are tough to get and very few people are interested in them.

I would like to provide some feedback. How can I do it?

You could send an e-mail to the e-mail address mentioned in the CONTACT page.

Can I distribute the links you have posted?

Yes. You are welcome to pass on the links, but please keep in mind that you might be prosecuted under anti-piracy laws if they are applicable in your country.

I clicked on a link but the file is not available.

Since the movie links posted here are in violation of copyrights, they can be deleted from the server. If such a thing happens, they will not be available. Send an e-mail to the e-mail address in the CONTACT page or leave a comment if such a case exists and new working links would be added soon and you would be notified.

How do I know what movies have been added lately?

Check the NEWS section for regular updates. The list of movies that have been added will be available in the NEWS section along with the date on which they were added.

How can I know what movies are available?

You can browse the movies by alphabetical order, by genre and also there is an Index page where you can search for any movie. Note that some movies that have common starting letters might be placed under the beginning alphabet of its second word. For Example, if you are looking for "The Matrix" movie under the alphabet 'T' you will not find it. You can see it under the alphabet 'M'. This is done because many movies start with "The" and if they all are included under T, the page would be really big.

Why are the pages in your site very lengthy?

When this website was started, there were only few movies and hence short pages. As the number of movies under each alphabet has grown, so has the length of the pages. Unfortunately it cannot be changed and in the future it will only increase as more and more movies get added.

How often is the website updated?

This website is updated almost weekly. You can find it out in the NEWS section.
